Legionella Risk Assessment

A legionella risk assessment is an important safety management process that will help to protect you, your employees and others from harm. In the United Kingdom this type of specialist risk assessment is required by law and is specifically identified by the Health & Safety Executive in their Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 "Legionnaires' disease. The control of legionella bacteria in water systems".

What is a Legionella Risk Assessment?

A legionella risk assessment survey, involves a systematic examination of the potential risks presented by hot and cold water systems, and seeks to identify and assess the risks of exposure to legionella bacteria from work activities and water systems. It is the Duty Holder's responsibility to undertake, act upon any recommendations  and record the findings of a Risk Assessment for any managed property.

Initially we would request some basic details about the management and tenancy of the property via a pre-visit questionnaire.

The size of the property will ultimately determine the price of the assessment, but basic domestic assessments start at around  £60 inclusive.
